Advertising Age Coins the "Clog"

A quick post while I’m out in SF…

Link: Advertising Age.

Effective today, I’m proposing the creation of a new form of online opinion writing: The Clog, or Column Blog. And I’m declaring "When Trains Fly" to be such a Clog. I’ll try my best not to disappear for long stretches. But I also promise that I will only write when I believe I have something to say that’s worth your time (an admittedly subjective filter).

My take: if your favorite bloggers don’t have anything of substance to say, don’t read their blogs. There are enough other good ones out there. Heck, Ad Age even has its Power 150 marketing blogs.

I’ll bite on the obvious question – so do you think this has any merit, or is the idea as silly as it sounds?
