Carnival: Fame, I'm Gonna Live Forever, and So Is Everyone Else

Christina Kerley nabs the second day slot for the Carnival of Marketing with her thoughtful musing on fame. What happens when everyone really can get their 15 seconds (or 150 diggs)? And is fame really the most important value to seek in this Web 2.0 kind of world?

I’d excerpt some of the post, but it’s a quick read that deserves to be digested in full. Head on over to CK’s blog for "the ‘me’ in fame."

I think what I most love about this blogosphere are the surprises. All innocent, I was just coming over here to check out your blog and saw this. Thanks for the plug.
When I think of blogging what comes directly to mind is freedom of expression, learning and listening to new viewpoints. But when I think of fame, what comes to mind is pressure–to deliver, create, please.
I guess I don’t see the draw. But then again, from everything I’m reading, it seems super important to some, so, no judgments.
