    David,
Your blog post today was laugh out loud funny. I went to Dame Helen Mirren’s IMDB page and found a great quote, “I’m a would-be rebel. The good girl who’d like to be a bad one.” Yeah, that could be us. Plus she was excellent in The Queen.
On a serious note, the space is getting more interesting by the day. You are right, more innovation from us is to come. We shift and change but our purpose is and will continue to be real world discovery. Our mission is to increase the possibility of adventure and human connection in daily life. Our fun facts and Societies are just teasers for what is to come.
I love the fact that you are giving a Whrrl a chance and can’t wait for your eventual follow up post.

Great post David. I’ve been trying all of these guys out as well and so far I’m spending more time with foursquare (because more of my friends are there) and MyTown because I think it has huge potential.
And based on what you described, you HAVE to see this comic on checking in: http://www.statusthis.com/2010/01/check-in-please/
