Whoa, it’s been a while since you’ve heard from me this way. Sorry, not sorry. That’s what the kids say now, right?

My 10-year-old doesn’t. Yet. But she likes saying, “That’s a you problem, not a me problem.” I think that’s worse.

I do have a few updates and resources to share. And yes, I’ll be at CES, so let me

know if you want to try to meet there, or pretend to try and meet there so we can then catch up properly back in NYC.

For CES, I’ll be out there Mon-Fri with a client, Largo.ai, which delivers a new, rapid method of pre-testing creative ideas through Gen AI, leveraging simulated focus groups for likeability and purchase interest. They’d love to meet with brands and others who’d find it useful. Let me know if you’re interested in an intro.

I’m also working with a client that seeks to expand by acquiring a boutique market research or focus group firm based in the US or UK with ~7-10 employees, ~$1M ARR, and ~20 brands as clients — something in that ballpark. Ideally, the client would like to meet up at CES, but they can find time to chat if the timing doesn’t work or you’re not there.

Also, if you want some good lists of events, you can check these out:

As for things not CES-related, I continue to build FOAF and AI Marketers Guild.

On the AIMG front…

  • If you haven’t joined yet, feel free to do so at https://bit.ly/AIMGinvite
  • We’re hosting regular events with some amazing guest speakers — see https://lu.ma/aimg
  • Our recommended tech directory is https://aimarketersguild.com/new-ai-tech/
  • If you know of any potential spaces in NYC to host a conference this year, I’m scouting venues now for our biggest event yet and would love any thoughts.
  • Lastly, I have a book coming out in the next few months. I just submitted the manuscript, so that will give me more time to resume the newsletter.

And for the last few updates…

I know a lot of folks got hit by layoffs and other adverse job news toward the end of the year. I continue to update my job resource guide at https://bit.ly/marketerjobs , including with some of the better new AI tools like this one.

My favorite new tool in general is Connect the Dots, which does require you to sync your contacts, but it gives a ton of value in return. Try it out here — this link will have you join my network.

Let me know if anything in here is of particular interest, and of course if you’ll be in Vegas next week. For those in the NY area, First Wednesday remains on schedule — hope to see you at the February edition.

May 2025 be all that you hoped for and way more.

David
