Happiest of New Years to you!

2023 already has some fireworks.

If you’ve seen my latest post on LinkedIn, you might have seen some changes brewing, so I’ll take this week to share some personal updates.

The big news is that I’m transitioning out of my role at Mediaocean, where I’d been spearheading corporate marketing and comms. I’m now actively exploring what’s ahead as potential projects or even something more.

I’ll be continuing to work with Mediaocean for the foreseeable future, and as part of that, I’ll be at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this week camping out at the Mediaocean Retreat (be sure to RSVP). It’s a lounge where you can network, grab a bite, and hear from dozens of speakers spanning brands, agencies, and publishers. There are also partners like Beet.TV, CIMM, Beeler.Tech, and Fastener contributing to the program.

I can guarantee you’ll meet some amazing folks there, and I can all but guarantee you’ll learn a thing or two in the process.

So, if you’re out there, let’s chat.

And what if you’re not wandering the desert oasis known as Vegas this week? Or what if you’re there and run into a couple hundred thousand other folks who prevented us from having a proper conversation?

As per LinkedIn, I have a few asks. Well, two for me, and one for you.

First, how can we work together this year? What do you need? Content? Comms? Some corporate marketing strategy? A few intros maybe? A pep talk? A good latke recipe? If you or someone you know has some B2B marketing need, especially if you’re targeting buyers at brands or agencies, I can either help directly or give you thoughts on who can.

Second, who is someone I should meet? Or maybe there’s someone I should reconnect with? Yes, I’m blessed with a bustling network, but I don’t in fact know everyone, and there are folks I know who I might not think about reaching out to. Any recommendation you have will go a very long way.

And then, my ask for you…

How can I better support you in the year ahead? If you’re on the job search, let me know. (You can also browse my job resources I share here). If you’re looking to connect with certain kinds of people, say the word. How can the community and I help you? Or let’s make it even more transactional — how can the community and I benefit you?

I’d love to chat about all this good stuff and can share my Calendly link if that’s easy, use your link, or just handle things the old-fashioned way by sending 32 emails or texts until we nail down a time. If you’re in NYC, let’s aim to meet in person. I can intro you to some great spots for lunch, tea, or drinks in Koreatown (don’t ask me about the karaoke though — I thoroughly failed the LinkedIn karaoke skill assessment). 

Meanwhile, thanks to the marketing team at Mediaocean and the rest of the crew there for all the collaboration and insights. I’ve mentioned to many people over the past year how there’s an exceptionally deep brain trust across the org, and there are some big things ahead.

You’ll also get to hear more from them, as I’m proud to share Mediaocean be a key sponsor and supporter of the community over the coming months.
