WidgetCon: Widget Measurement Issues

During Q&A of a panel this morning, someone from comScore mentioned that in the last 30 days, the reach of widgets has increased 24%. This hasn’t been released publicly, so you may well have read it here first.

She said a big challenge is understanding what a widget is. They don’t include Google Gadgets right now as they first concentrated on Flash/SWF files. They’re now in talks with Google to remedy it.g with Google. “Anyone who tells us what a widget is, we can track it.”
