Along with Bezos, there was a panel and some short one-off demos and speakers. One of interest, especially for this blog’s readers, was Jay Bhatti presenting Spock.com, a people search site in beta.
Bhatti’s presented it with demos of searching for Victoria’s Secret models. That’s the real potential for it, not making it some kind of LinkedIn. Check Yahoo’s Top 10 searches of 06 – almost entirely people. And, for better or worse, people = Britney and Shakira, not Berkowitz, Battelle, or Bezos (my posse, of course).
