Carnival: Inside Pitch

Avinash Kaushik deservedly nabs the first spot for the Carnival of Marketing for his lengthy advice on how to win a new business pitch.
Some of these rules sound pretty obvious, but I hear all the time about people violating them, including some such as “don’t be a jerk” and “manage your time efficiently.” It also sounds like Avinash has directly or indirectly been inspired by Guy Kawasaki, whose 10/20/30 Rule of PowerPoint has become a mantra for savvy pitchers.
The only way any marketer will stay in business is to win business, so thanks, Avinash, for your candid thoughts.
This post is part of this week’s Carnival of Marketing series. For a quick background on the Carnival, read the previous post here.

I am glad you found the post of interest David. I am in complete agreement with you that many of the recommendations are common sense, it is still amazing still how much people don’t follow them.
    Thanks again,
    Avinash.
PS: Oh and yes have been inspired by Guy in more than one way, I even thank him on my About page! 🙂
