Facebook's Punctuation Police

Apparently Facebook doesn’t approve of how I punctuate. The nerve.

I’m testing out their new ad system today (your feedback welcome), and they told me, "The text of your ad cannot contain 2 punctuation marks/signs in a row."

Ouch.

It turns out you also can’t say the word "shit" but you can say "crap." Live and learn.

I’m happy to report that, from this side of the Atlantic, your prose looks fine.
I could understand banning triple exclamation marks (and, as the feeds develop, reporting the writers of such things to the appropriate mental health departments!), but disallowing other marks immediately inside parentheses feels over the top.
